Paraphrase from Dr. R.C. Sproul – The only way that you become good at something is to go through trials and practice what is tough. He related a story about trying to learn to play the piano. The only way to learn how to play a piece like a Chopin or a Beethoven is to practice and teach the muscles over time how to make the moves needed to play the piece. The same is true about men and why we meet in the gloom. We do tough things in the gloom to prepare for the tough times of life. We practice to build up the muscle memory so that we don’t run from challenges, but run to and face the challenges we are supposed to face in life. This is what HIM do!
